Yo-Go (Yovani Gallardo - arguably the 2nd best starter on the staff) likely to miss the rest of the season. As an avid Brewers fan, this REALLY hurts. Especially knowing the tenuous history of Ben Sheets. Here's the link:
Yo-Go

Turnbow's departure doesn't concern me - he has been a head-case for the Crew for awhile now. I wish him well - he can be a very good pitcher - but I think the patience of the MB fans with him has worn thin. I can see him possibly flourishing somewhere else. I'm concerned about the starting pitching situation. Dave Bush has not proven to be very consistent. I hope that Yo-Go's replacement (most likely Bush) or Jeff Weaver (AAA prospect) can STEP UP & be a consistent performer. Otherwise, I can't see the Crew contending this year. AND, if Sheets goes down - our (the Crew's) chances are basically nil!

Was this ACL injury from the collision yesterday? If it was, he pitched two innings with the injury. Or did he further injury it by playing through it. I thought for sure he was coming out when he tripped like he did.

Is this is the same Jeff Weaver who won a World Series with the Cards in 06 and pitched for Seattle last season? If so, I wouldn't label him a AAA prospect - more like a has-been who never actually was much with the exception of his outstanding postseason in 06.

Wow, horrible news for my fantasy team. I just turned down a deal that would have traded away Gallordo for Isringhausen:sad:

Yes, it stemmed from the collission. Fortuanately for Brew Crew fans it's not an arm injury.

The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away...

Today, Milwaukee was blessed with the addition of Kelvin Sampson to the Bucks coaching staff. Certainly, you aren't naive enough to think that the Milwaukee city sports personna would be blessed with a gem like Kelvin, without something valuable being taken away in return...

Noooooo!!!!!!

Why ohh why?????

I would imagine the Brewers mgmt will actively pursue a decent pitcher in the coming days if he really is out for the year. Mark Antanassio (or whatever it is) has shown he is willing to shell out cash for a better team.

Sheets will probably injur something in the next few weeks as well, just for a little salt in the wound.

and just when the Crew was poised to make a run on the NL Central!!!
