No, I don't think anyone from the Patriots should be suspended for a year over this. There is a huge difference between Bountygate and deflated balls (hehe,) but it'll be interesting to see if any punishment is handed down after Goodell's "Ignorance is not an excuse" statement a couple years ago.

The texts between the equipment guys is hilarious. Apparently the proper inflating of the balls is a big deal, and Tom is a real **** about it.

It is funny, but why would they give up their texts to the NFL? The NFL doesn't have the power to make them give their phone history.

Hypothetical, they might have been using phones paid for by the team, and the team agreed to cooperate. Brady wouldn't have a phone paid for by the team, and he did not give up his phone records
That makes sense. I guess I didn't expect guys who were in-charge of equipment to need/have work issued phones.
I would be shocked if they did. I feel like they would have to prove 100 percent that he knew. Assuming he knew isn't the same as him knowing.
Maybe I'm wrong. I'm a Patriots fan, but even I know that the NFL protects Tom on and off the field.
Or at least be smart enough not to talk **** about the most important player in the franchise on them.
The NFL will fine the Patriots franchise a six figure amount, and Tom and Goodell will go to bed together that night.
