A little while back I read Stewart Mandel's Bowls Polls and Tattered Souls, and thought the book was very interesting. Other than his blatent hatred for Notre Dame (my other team) I appreciate his opinion. Of course like any cyclone homer, when each page was turned I wondered if Iowa State would be mentioned anywhere. ( EIU was frequently but almost never positively) Eventually the chance presented itself.......sort of. In his book he states that Ames was set up economically to appease and specifically cater to traveling Nebraska fans. I found this statement to be bold and arrogant. I was wondering two things from other posters here, one is do you agree with Mandel on this and two, what did you think of the book if you read it. I apologize if this has been brought up in the past. Never remember seeing it yet.

How old is this book? I think that a few years ago, you would have found lots of season ticket holders selling out to Nebby fans for that one game's big money. Not so sure about now.
