If this is in fact where we are going, does anyone have info on where you will be staying? What hotels/area should I be looking at? I want to be close to where everyone is staying.

Thanks for any advice you may have!

A lot depends on what you want to spend along with where you want to be. Consider the official team hotel. Also, check with CF and ISUAA for their hotel locations. I know some folks staying over in FTW, which is my personal preference.

From my experience, stay as close to the team hotel as possible. When I went to the Houston Bowl we stayed quite a ways from where the team and most of the fans were staying. It didn't feel like a bowl until gameday. Bowl atmosphere can get lost in larger cities. With a city like Shreveport you saw a Cyclone fan around every corner. The atmosphere just felt more festive, more like a bowl game should.

Long story short, stay as close to the team as possible. You'll get the full bowl experience that way. Don't look for a hotel that is $20 cheaper each night, you'll be disappointed (and have to make that up in cab fare anyway).

A like to the bowl site itself was posted in another thread. If we do end up going there..what is the best way to order tickets? How soon would they go on sale through the ticket office and how would they compare for price. Tickets through the bowl site seem pretty cheap for good seats.

Last year, Houston was allocated 10,000 "sideline" tickets at $75 each.
