NFL: Boldin, Marshall, Leinart trade?

There's noooo way they're going to trade Marshall for just Leinart.

wow. Seems to me that either of those proposed trades would be a bad deal for Denver.

Scenario 1: they essentially trade Brandon Marshall for Matt Leinart. Not a good deal.

Scenario 2: they trade Brandon Marshall for Matt Leinart, and get a high first round pick to add to the two first rounders they already have for next year, and the two they had this year. That's a lot of first round money to pay out.

Plus, there's no way that Marshall is worth a first round pick and a player like Leinart after the crap that he's pulled recently.

I thought that there will be a new collective bargaining agreement before next year. Maybe Denver thinks that there is going to be a rookie cap by then and is putting themselves in place to cash in on it.

Yeah, there could be, but isn't that a pretty big risk to take? You risk having a large amount of your cap tied up in a small number of players. Don't forget that Leinart's got a pretty healthy contract as well.

someone brought up a good point in the comments of the link that was posted. Why would Arizona get rid of a guy who is unhappy with his contract (Boldin) for another guy who is unhappy with his contract(Marshall)? How exactly is their situation improved?

Yah, and I am sure a diva like Marhsall will love playing second fiddle to Larry Fitzgerald.

Why do the Broncos need another backup QB? They already have 2 on their roster.

They actually have 4 qbs and 2 of them are hurt for the rest of the preseason and possibly the first real game.

This trade wont happen party because KC gives if nothing and I dont see the Broncos being that nice just to get rid of Marshall.

But what else are they going to do with him? I doubt he's going to go out there and give 100 percent come Week 1.

At this point, I would unless someone will give me more. I think Leinart is better than Orton. I also think it would be worth it just to get rid of Marshall and his ********. The Broncos are headed down the wrong road and they need to unload this guy. If the Cardinals want him fine but it is a worse deal for them. The Chiefs come out smellin like roses.

Because you gain nothing with Denver's QBs and it has been proven. Leinart really hasn't proven he's a bust just yet.

maybe not quite a bust, but this would clearly be a second chance for him. the guy has a career QB rating of about 70. Not exactly what you want from a top 10 pick.

I agree, and the KC giving up nothing thing doesn't make sense.
Yeah, it's not like you could give up next to nothing and in exchange for one of the best starting quarterbacks in the league the previous year or something....oh.....nevermind

The second trade poised sounds fairly reasonable. I wouldn't mind giving up Thigpen and a 1st for Anquan Boldin. (me being a Chiefs fan that is).

However, I don't know why anyone would want to give up too much for Marshall after you know the Broncos are looking to get rid of him as fast as possible. Not to mention I wouldn't want him on my team after his recent 5-year old tirade.
