wow. Seems to me that either of those proposed trades would be a bad deal for Denver.
Scenario 1: they essentially trade Brandon Marshall for Matt Leinart. Not a good deal.
Scenario 2: they trade Brandon Marshall for Matt Leinart, and get a high first round pick to add to the two first rounders they already have for next year, and the two they had this year. That's a lot of first round money to pay out.
Plus, there's no way that Marshall is worth a first round pick and a player like Leinart after the crap that he's pulled recently.
I thought that there will be a new collective bargaining agreement before next year. Maybe Denver thinks that there is going to be a rookie cap by then and is putting themselves in place to cash in on it.
someone brought up a good point in the comments of the link that was posted. Why would Arizona get rid of a guy who is unhappy with his contract (Boldin) for another guy who is unhappy with his contract(Marshall)? How exactly is their situation improved?
Why do the Broncos need another backup QB? They already have 2 on their roster.
But what else are they going to do with him? I doubt he's going to go out there and give 100 percent come Week 1.They actually have 4 qbs and 2 of them are hurt for the rest of the preseason and possibly the first real game.
This trade wont happen party because KC gives if nothing and I dont see the Broncos being that nice just to get rid of Marshall.
There's noooo way they're going to trade Marshall for just Leinart.
Why involve the Chiefs? Why not Boldin + Leinart for Marshall + a QB?
Because you gain nothing with Denver's QBs and it has been proven. Leinart really hasn't proven he's a bust just yet.
3, you forgot the one starting for us.Why do the Broncos need another backup QB? They already have 2 on their roster.
Yeah, it's not like you could give up next to nothing and in exchange for one of the best starting quarterbacks in the league the previous year or something....oh.....nevermindI agree, and the KC giving up nothing thing doesn't make sense.
