Black Monday 2008 is fast approaching. Who's getting fired who doesn't deserve it? Who should get fired but does not? Who will be their replacements? Where will Bill Cowher land? And which coach gets recycled again There's always a few.

Probably on the chopping block:

Lions, Rod Marinelli

Bengals, Marvin Lewis

Browns, Romeo Crennel

Chiefs, Herm Edwards

Jag's, Jack Del Rio

Cowboys, Wade Phillips

Chargers, Norv Turner

Turner might get into the playoffs. He'll get another year.

If the Chiefs fire Herm I'd love to see them bring in Del Rio. He could wear the old blazer Hank Stram wore on the sideline since he's so fond of ties.

Wade Phillips is gone if Dallas does not make the playoffs. He might be gone even if they do.

I really hope the Jags don't give up on Del Rio, he is a damn good coach just ran into a bad year injury wise...

I am up in the air on this one. While I think he is a good coach, his team quit on him halfway through the year. He didn't lose his QB or star RB or anything. If he was involved with the moves they made at the DE position, then yes he deserves to be fired. Is Harvey even at 2 sacks yet? 8th overall pick should be putting up better numbers than he has.

If the Vikings don't make the Playoffs Childress has to go.

I agree 100%. If the Vikes don't come out fired up and beat a team that has nothing to play for, Chili should be canned. I don't like a lot of his decisions over the past three years, there hasn't been nearly enough improvement, and this would be the last straw. We need a coach that will bring some toughness and a killer instinct, just like at Iowa State.

I'm not so sure I'd be happy with Del Rio in KC. Seems like every year they say "this is gonna be the year" for Jacksonville, but they always seem to fall apart either in the regular season or in the playoffs. I'd take Del Rio over Herm, but I'd like to see an Option C.

Agree. I'm still questioning weather or not he should stay. I'd say the Vikings are one of the most underachieving teams out there right now. I've actually despised Childress since their loss to the Bears. No way should they have lost that game.

He shouldn't. The only reason they might make the playoffs is because somebody from the AFC West has to. Unless they get to the AFC championship, he should be gone.

That would stoke the rivalry quite a bit huh? Not that the Steeler-Cowboy rivalry needs to be stoked! I just can't see Cowher working well with Jerry? Cowher will go to a team that gives him full-control!

And if Jerry was smart (I know, I know), he'd hand the keys to Cowher and let the man go to work.

After a few months of either whipping into shape or weeding out the sissy-baby-cry-whiners - he'd have that team dominating the NFC.
