Just curious it anybody had a story about strange/bizarre sports play. What call did the official make?...Was it correct?

My sophomore year in Iowa Falls for baseball, a teammate of mind tried calling time in the batter's box, the umpire stopped the game and said "This is baseball. You can't do that in baseball. There aren't any timeouts in baseball! Did you see this kid? He tried calling time out in baseball!"
When I was a kid, we were playing a night game for baseball. I was playing right field and dove for a fly ball and got my glove on it but as I hit the ground, my glove rolled over and the ball scooted out not too far from my glove. Thinking quickly i grabbed the ball and started my motion to throw it in when suddenly the umpire at 2nd base yells "That's a catch!" It didn't really occur to me what actually happened until the kid who hit it was sitting down. I felt pretty bad but there really wasn't much I could do as a 12-year-old kid haha
I saw an attempted tackle in a high school football game end up with the runner breaking the tackle/grab and the tackler ending up with a broken jock in hs hand.
Don't try to tackle a runner by grabbing his pants at the belt from behind. To the runners credit he kept pumping those legs and snapped the jock clean in 2.
