Big 12 Tournament Guide?

Taking a group of 7 next week, all of us have never been. How should we spend our days? I've obviously heard a lot about the P&L District, but what are some other things we should look to do/eat/drink etc.

Any tips or advice is much appreciated!
 
Well walk between Sprint Center and Municipal to catch Cyclone games. Men's and Women's. Kelly's in Westport is an Old School Cyclone Hangout. Really watch Basketball, Eat BBQ, Drink Beer, rinse and repeat for 4 days.

Outside of Basketball some cool things in KC, WWI Museum, Negro League Museum, The Plaza, Casino's, Truman Library.

I will be down Wednesday to Sunday. It is always fun. Are you guys Staying Downtown?

Drunk is a lot of fun! LOL

Lots of good BBQ. Plow Boys, Q39, Joe's and Jack Stack are among the best. Boulevard Brewing taste room and Brewery tour, Negro Leagues, Baseball Hall of Fame, and the National WW 1 Memorial and Museum. There are some shops at Crown Center, Country Club Plaza, River Market, etc.

Two girlfriends in the group. Boys trips seem to be a thing of the past

We went the airbnb route and the house is in the heart of "Midtown-Westport". I'm guessing most of the weekend will be spent between P&L, Kelly's and hopefully multiple games in the T Mobile arena. We were thinking about doing Top Golf one day as well. Do they have Iowa State pep rallies during this?

Sometimes, The alumni association or athletic department should have something on their sites when it gets closer.

You will be surprised how much of the time you spend in the P&L, just too convienent...also you asked about the pep rallies they are like 2 hrs before tip in the P&L courtyard area

I wish that Bob Jones Shoes was still open. Loved stopping in there for a new pair of Caporicci’s every couple of years. Disappointing I can’t this year.

Like stated above - you’ll be at the P&L a lot.

Also be sure to get their early - in years past they have had to close it off due to capacity.

Even though we got knocked out the night we got there, it was fun. Stayed a mile away from Kelly's and the place was still packed with Iowa State fans throughout the weekend. Had a great time meeting other Cyclone fans. We figured out we're getting too old though because Saturday we had a couple pukers, laid around all day trying to recover and watched the Players. Definitely would go back, can't imagine the fun that would be had during one of those championship runs

P&L District was ELECTRIC during the 2015 Championship game against Kansas. Getting down early giving KU fans even more arrogance then coming back to beat them was amazing.
