Big 12 North v. South

The revenue sharing is not equal in the Big XII (like every other conference) - why would anyone ever expect the competition to be equal?

The way it works now is:

Better performance = more revenue = better performance = more revenue = ...

The conference was designed from the start separate the "Have's" from the "Have Not's", and ensure that it stays that way.

The only way to change the model is with a 3/4 (9/12) vote, meaning one of Texas, aTm, OU and Nebraska would have to vote to change it, which will never happen.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist - the facts are all out there.

It's like making Team A shoot against a 15-inch rim, and Team B shoot against a 12-inch rim, then wondering why Team A always scores more points.

a few more years of being embarrassed and nebraska will come around.

Because you're in the Big 12. Right? That's right, isn't it?

Yes, but what interest would we have in reading a basis article written by who? The assumptions made in that article are broad, plentiful, and without support.

Oh, call me crazy, but OU is going down. I'm not talking about this weekend, I'm talking about the next few years. Their recruiting has gone down (relatively speaking) and their constantly floundering on the national stage has people looking at them as the OSU of the Big12. Unlike the Big10, the Big12 teams won't allow a down year to go unchallenged. I can see OU having a Michigan like performance within the next 4 years.

for the record, even if NU were to keep losing (which we will not) we would still be in the top 4 money making schools in the big 12.............wins or losses will hardly change that.

Seems a lot of Cyclones were in fact interested. The numbers are objective and interesting to all Big 12 football fans - you can just ignore the assumptions if you'd like. I wouldn't say they were "without support," though.

I actually agree somewhat about OU. If you look at the drop in NFL players they've produced, you could surmise a future drop. And, its once vaunted defense looks pretty pedestrian this year.
