Going out for our anniversary in Omaha tomorrow night. We have done Omaha Prime quite a bit. Has always been good. Happy hour cocktails at the Wicked Rabbit and then off to dinner any recommendations on a steakhouse near the Old Market?

Omaha prime is the only one that I’ve been to down there, I’ve always wanted to try Cascio’s- I went to high school with some of that family, but I’ve heard mixed results on their food. Brother Sebastians up at 120th and pacific is good but certainly not the old market area you’re looking for. And of course the consistent Gorat’s with the world’s best hashbrowns.

Prime rib at Brothet Sebastions is great. Gorats is also very good.

801 Chophouse is my favorite down there, Sullivan's is also pretty good.

I had the Wagyu and tartar at V Mertz a couple months ago. It was pretty damn good. Although I really do prefer my tartar with potato chips :)

Can't go wrong with V Mertz (my favorite) but if you want more of a steak house try Monarch Prime. Also if want another drink try Mercury, the current breakfast inspired cocktail menu is pretty fun.

Johnny's. It is what a steak house should be. Corn fed and aged beef, family owned since 1922 and have gone there since I was a kid.

I second this. Grew up in the area and have gone there since I was a kid. Classic steak house. Get the onion rings for sure. Steaks are served with a fantastic mushroom wine sauce.

Worked there one summer decades ago.
75% of all orders were primerib. The horse track was still going then and when the big winners showed up the money flowed.

Cook your own. It will be better than most restaurants and if it’s bad you can only blame yourself.

Haven’t been yet, but the Committee Chophouse in the renovated Cottonwood hotel looks really good.

801 Chophouse - classic steakhouse

V Mertz - now really a steakhouse, but a great restaurant.
