Best Rock Singer

I don't even know her name but I feel like the lady who sang on great gig in the sky is a performance I think about and hasn't ever been replicated. Not the best singer of all time obviously, but maybe the best like role player showing up in game 7 and retiring right after.

Paul McCartney
Don Henley
Freddie Mercury
Robin Zander
Steve Walsh

Glad Chris Cornell is getting the respect he deserves. First CD was Badmotorfinger and still listen to it. Gets better with age.

Eddie Vedder, Bono, Dolores from my generation.

As far as more recent, I really like Adam Granduciel from The War on Drugs and that Sameer dude from Young The Giant.

I've been listening to my Axis Bold As Love LP lately and although he'd never be mentioned on this list I can't imagine Hendrix's music without his unique voice. Also, there needs to more Bob Marley and Glenn Danzig in this thread. C'mon!

Michael McDonald, Daryl Hall, Janis Joplin, David Gates...
I don't think highly of The Boss...even if my wife is related to him (5th cousin)!

Corey Taylor and M Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold) have incredible voices and range. That often gets overlooked when people listen to metal.
There are Metal singers who somehow transcend the genre and give such a powerful feel or vibe. That is what I feel about Weiland and Keenan. Listen and watch an old *Tool video like "Sober." It gets inside your head and gut and can make your hair hurt...so intense.

*Many consider Tool progressive.

Kind of off topic, but there was this older lady I used to work with, she was kind of crazy and not all there, like she took a bunch of acid in the 60s or something.

We were talking music one day and she said her favorite song was " Lunatic Friend" by Pink Floyd. Lmao. I didn't want to tell her she was way off base in the band and song so I just nodded in agreement and said I liked it also.

John Fogerty is amazing
Brad Delp from Boston
Steve Perry

Those are my best singers. My best front men are Different.

Robert Plant
Zach De la Rocha
Jonathan Davis
