NFL Sunday is almost here, with that said where is the best place to watch football on Sundays?

Criteria I’m considering

  • Quality and line of sight to TV’s
  • Number of games shown
  • Service
  • Atmosphere
  • Beer specials/selection

I'm a toss up between 34's (if they are still open, haven't been there since last season) and Jethro's. I like the projection screen and tv's labelled with which game they are showing at 34's. Jethro's seems to have a better feel inside and I have had great service there. Today, I am leaning towards Jethro's.

Old Chicago has a nice setup where they have every single NFL game on a different TV, plus they have the best selection of beer on Ankney, so you have that.

Love game day at OC, although I've never been to the one in Ankeny. And unfortunately the one here in the Detroit metro is completely across the metro area from where I live. I like OC, but I'm not driving an hour just to get there.

There was a sign outside 34's a couple of weeks ago saying they were closed, but that they may reopen (I can't remember specifically what the sign said, but that is the impression I got).

Just go to Best Buy. all kinds of big screen TV's there.

I guess I have not been there in about a month. They must have closed recently. I prefer benchwarmers because the food is better.

Heard Croz Nest is moving into 34's.

I like the Old Chicago bar in Ames more than Ankeny, dunno why really, maybe it just seems bigger (TWSS).

Agreed on OC, there are never enough seats in the bar area and even less with a good view of a tv.

i liked Benchwarmers a lot, but their tvs and tv placement need improvement. Slightly improved when they reopened, butneed more.
