Robins, Iowa
I know it is early, but there are only so many possibilities. lt would be nice to talk about anything other than Campbell leaving for a few minutes.

cheez-it seems most likely

if baylor wins big 12 title, we get baylor to sugar and oklahoma state as an at-large most-likely and iowa state gets in cheeze-it

if oklahoma state wins big 12 title, they probably go to playoff, baylor goes to sugar, and then ou isn't ranked in top 10 so can't get at-large bid, so we go to cheeze-it

small chance at texas or alamo if somehow big 12 doesn't get two-at larges or if ou gets back into the top 10

Orlando is definitely looking like as close to a lock as possible.
Obviously the variable here is whether the Cheez It wants us or K State since we’ve been in this position before and chosen over someone else.

With Riley leaving OU, I wonder if there is a chance we could jump OU for the Alamo Bowl? I doubt it.

I think our best chance of making alamo is if somehow ou makes the top 10 (and oklahoma state beats baylor for title)

probably unlikely since the regular season for most teams is over now

maybe if alabama and oregon get smoked in championship games?

OU won’t make top 10. They have no way to make up the ground they list yesterday. Little birdies have been telling me Cheez It has been talking to ISU. Will be an expensive trip versus any of the Texas locations.

If we go to Orlando the opponent will probably be the ACC CCG loser (Pitt-Wake Forest) with an outside chance at it being Clemson. Would be a quality game for the seniors to go out on.

If you rank the alleged payouts for each ACC tie-in game, and the team records, you'd get something like:
Holiday - loser of Pitt/Wake
Cheez-It - Clemson or NC State
Gator - Clemson or NC State

Clemson hasn't been to the Orlando game since 2014; N.C. State hasn't since 2010.

OSU leaped Notre Dame in to 5th in the AP poll which I think will happen in the CFP poll also.
Georgia beats Alabama in the SEC CG.
OSU beats a top 10 Baylor in the Big 12 CG.
OSU in to the Final 4.
Baylor to Sugar.
OU to Alamo.
ISU to Cheez-It.

Big 12 Bowl Tie-Ins, Affiliations
1. Sugar Bowl (New Orleans) vs. SEC
Big 12 Champion goes here if not in the College Football Playoff, or highest-ranked Big 12 team

2. Valero Alamo Bowl (San Antonio). vs Pac-12
3. Cheez-It (Orlando). vs ACC
4. Mercari Texas Bowl (Houston). vs SEC
5. AutoZone Liberty Bowl (Memphis). vs. SEC
6. Guaranteed Rate Bowl (Phoenix). Big Ten

Potential other matchups
Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl vs. C-USA, Pac-12, or Army
SERVPRO First Responder Bowl vs. ACC, American Athletic, or Pac-12

It almost has to be:
Osu/ Baylor. - playoff/ny6

ou - alamo

isu - cheezit

I know it’s about money and sponsorship but why did they have to ruin a bowl name with cheezit…lol
Other than the name…if we somehow got Clemson in Orlando that would be a really good consolation . As long as we didn’t lay an egg.

SERVPRO First Responder Bowl vs. ACC, American Athletic, or Pac-12

The Armed Forces Bowl (even) and First Responder Bowl (odd) alternate years when it comes to the Big 12. Most of the time it doesn't matter, because the Big 12 rarely has enough eligible teams to fill that spot.

OU could be ranked higher than Baylor pending the CCG outcome.
