Bears don't blow it

Oh thank christ I was ready to lose our next 6 first rounders.

Even though I'm only a casual Bears fan, I was really worried that Wentz would end up in Chicago. The Bears might actually be better off with Trubisky than Wentz, which is saying something.

I am a huge Bears fan and I am super thankful that they didn't make the trade. Wentz could "possibly" succeed in Indy, but no way it would happen in Chicago. Need those draft picks

i think watson to the bears could be fun but i dont think that happens.

Packers send: QB Aaron Rodgers (to 49ers), 30th overall pick in 2021, QB Jordan Love (to Texans)
49ers send: 12th overall pick in 2021, 2022 first-round pick (to Texans), 2022 second-round pick (to Packers), QB Jimmy Garoppolo (to Patriots)
Texans send: QB Deshaun Watson (to Packers), 2022 fourth-round pick (to 49ers)
Patriots send: 142nd overall pick (to 49ers)

I just want them to keep David. This is the closest I've ever came in 30 years to dropping Dallas for my second favorite team (Chicago). Jerry Jones needs to get to on with his after life a little sooner.

Wentz gets out of Philly, so that is a huge win for him. That would be last town I would want to be in if I were a player.

Philly has to eat $33.8 million of dean money cap space to do it.... Wowzer!

Would love Watson but don't think the Bears can get him with the Draft capital they have. If the Jets move on from Darnold I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him if the price is right. Think he has been put in a bad spot (bad OL, WR's, coaching) with the Jets and think there is some upside there. He does need to protect the ball better though.

Would have been interesting if the Patriots had traded for Wentz to see if BB could have turned him around or not. My guess is if the Pats make a trade it's going to involve Garoppolo coming back. Still think the favorite to get Watson is the Dolphins as I don't think there are enough teams with assets or interest in him to give up the package the Texans seem to want for him. Plus for as good as Watson may be guys who demand trades always raise red flags to me about what kind of leader and locker room guy they are. Then again I am a Chiefs fan and am spoiled that KC is set for the next decade at QB too so maybe I don't get too into these trade scenarios like I used to.

Watson might be a good fit with the Jets. One huge problem though.... The Jets literally have zero offensive weapons. Not a single skill player could start on another NFL roster.
