NFL: Bears cut Benson

Thank god. That guy was the Ryan Leaf of running backs.

On a positive note, I'm pretty excited to see what the kid they drafted from Oregon can do on the field.

So they are going to start who this year at RB? Adrian Peterson (not the good one)? Or a rookie?

Maybe they pickup someone (Travis Henry?)...who knows. Ugh.

Could this make my Garrett Wolfe rookie cards better?

So how many running backs have the Bears been through now since Neal Anderson?

Saw this one coming. Should have gotten rid of him long before they got rid of Thomas Jones. Well, at least the Bears can go in a different direction than Benson.

They never have luck with QB's or RB's. Thomas Jones is the best one in recent memory, and he is only average at best. Maybe they will limp through this season with AP and try and find a good one in the draft next year. The Packers and Vikings have more of a chance at winning the division than the Bears.

See ya. Best move of the Bears in this off season. I'm actually suprised they admitted their mistake this early (three years in) considering we're still dealing with the Rex project six years in...

Cedric the Entertainer was two yards and a cloud of dust. He had very few shifty moves and was more like a one gear truck. He is ready to play for the Jets.

Matt Forte for the win. Actually, he looks to be a pretty good looking rookie. Has all the tools. If they share duties between him, AP, and Wolfe, they might not be awful.

I think Travis Henry isn't out of the quetion, but I bet they would be willing to leave it on the sholders of the rookie and AP. I mean they left their QB up for graps between Grossman and Orton. This would only be icing on the cake.

Cedric must have had four good runs in three years. I agree, Stevie would have done better.
