Lol, definitely. I am pretty warm blooded, so Hilton always gets me overheated, but I walked to the south end of Jack Trice without a coat in the middle of January after beating KU and it felt good.It's always warmer walking out after a W.

They are open to anyone since they are commuter lots for students. And sometimes the are events at CY Stephens that conflict with basketball games.
The problem isn't access to lots, it's that lots like C3 are heavily under utilized. I often walk past and it's around 20% full. Arrive after tipoff and any one can use that lot, but arrive early and most donors get to experience the same walk past a near empty lot
You got that right. Whatever they pay those poor folks who work the lots for basketball games, it's not enough.
I was moved from D4 to C5 also. Parts of C5 are further away than D4, but not really that much difference since D4 is along University. I’m thinking lot assignments will likely change again next year, once C3 and the A and B lots are completed.
I'm sure it's long gone now but back in the day I could usually weasel my way into a spot on Sunset and then just walk the ramp all the way over to Hilton. Something tells me that's no longer an option.
I think a couple of the A lots are still open/public, but most are torn up. If not there early I usually park out by Jack Trice or in the neighborhoods to the west.
Basketball Parking is like my girlfriends. Still somehow in a physical form for the time being.
