Need some CF expertise.

There's a room in my basement that was previously finished that I'm refinishing (adding insulation & proper framing/drywall, etc). It was previously just foam insulation with wood paneling glued on top. The electrical is currently run through conduit & attached directly to the poured foundation.

Question: When I adhere the new EPS insulation to the foundation, can I just I work around the existing conduit, or will I need to have that conduit re-run so it sits on the inside of the EPS?

Putting the EPS around the conduit will make it more difficult to seal up. If the EPS isn't sealed on all sides, it will collect condensation between it and the foundation wall.

What thickness foam? 2"? If so, consider using spray foam (minimal expanding, be careful though) to fill around the conduit. You'll probably have to shave off the excess after it cures.
