Maddux, Glavine, and The Big Hurt are in.

Biggio had 74.8% and needs 75%.

The fact he isn't in is a joke. 3,000 hits should be automatic.

Bobby Cox also going in with Maddux, Glavine. Those mid 90s Braves teams are what got me going with them as a young fan. Two of the best pitchers in the game, well deserving to be in on the first ballot.

Still no Crime Dog! He deserves to get in for his instructional video spot alone!

74.8%. Should be able to round up. And, yeah, 3000 should be automatic.

Also amazing that some chose not to vote for Maddux. Not sure there is an argument I could buy for why he shouldn't get a vote.

Single votes for Kenny Rogers, Armando Benitez, and Jacque Jones. For all of the sanctimonius BS you hear spew forth from writers during the vote, they certainly allow some real morons to be part of the process.

This is why,

Alan Trammell and Tim Raines are both guys I think should be in for sure. Biggio as well

All three who got in,deserve it. As for Biggio and Morris they probably should be in too,but the problem is the fact that there were too many first timers on the ballot that could have taken away some of the votes that they may have received. Also Jones,Rogers and Benitez receiving votes may have prevented Biggio as he was two votes short, but we probably will never know. Also Raffi Palmerio is off the ballot next year as he didn't receive 5 percent of the vote (4.4) and Sammy Sosa only got 7 percent.
That being said, the baseball hall of fame is by far the hardest to get into mainly because things like the number of batting titles,MVP awards and all star game appearances don't count for all that much to the voters, because if that were true Biggio and Dale Murphy would be in by now.

The whole thing is ridiculous. How the BBWAA can claim to be the only source qualified to make selections is laughable, considering that some of those wise, wise men saw fit to leave Greg Maddux off their ballot -- some of whom didn't vote the 10 player max, either. If you're going to leave Maddux off the list because you felt 10 other guys deserved it more and voted that way (which would still be indefensible), that's one thing. But to vote for 9 or fewer guys and leave him off? Come on.

The system needs to be shaken up, and I'm glad LeBatard let fans decide who got his 10 votes. At least it's bringing a lot more attention to how screwed up the whole thing is.

There is no more ridiculous vote in the free world than that of the Baseball HOF. Check out the link below about one voter. To summarize, didn't vote for Biggio because he deemed him a "cheater" for wearing body armor and stepping into pitches, yet voted for Clemens, Bonds and McGwire. Also left Frank Thomas off his ballot because he didn't really watch the American League that much, yet voted for Jack Morris (and Clemens played almost exclusively in the AL).

Also, a Dodgers beat writer only voted for Morris, no one else. Yeah, that Maddux guy wasn't really that good I guess.
