I have to get some enjoyment out of this while it lasts! They may be out for good by the end of the day or week. It does look like they are trying to legitimately rebuild now, and have some nice young talent. Until they can get out of the east, though, its not promising.

Go O's!

I'm feeling the same way with the Royals. They have been in 1st the whole time, but the question is, how long will it last?

The last time the O's started out well it lasted until June (longer than I figured) but they still managed to fall clear to 4th place when it was all said and done.

The Jays taking 4 out of 6 against the Yanks and Red Sox is a more impressive start, in my opinion. As long as NY and Boston stay in 4th and 5th, I'll be happy. Something tells me that may not happen.

It is a nice start. The difference is that the Joys have a real team! They might actually be competative for teh entire season. I will root for the Jays if they can knock off either of those two.

Freak'n sweet....
though I highly doubt I can still fit into any of my old O's shirts... (they're a child's something... I got them like 13 or 14 years ago) probally gonna have to buy a new one in a couple of days when I get out there!

Ah, my good ol' Orioles. Cyclones and Orioles. One in the same to me. Love em to death, and they keep ripping my heart out.

Since becoming somewhat of a Nationals fan I am amazed at how much hatred there is towards the Nats by O's fans. Anyhow, if the Blue Jays and Orioles finished 1-2 in the east I would be happier than a pig in.......

Wow, more than one fellow Oriole fan. Unite!!

I don't know about anyone else but the day Angelos dies or sells, I will be calling in sick to work!

Speaking of the Jays... great series against the Bo Sox. I could get used to that.

Anyone been to Camden? I still hope to someday.

Haven't followed the O's much since I moved to Iowa... Ripken retiring pretty much sealed it (on top of the steriods scandle that included a childhood favorite Ralpheal Palmero), but seeing as how I'm moving 1000 miles away from the Cyclones and only 80 miles away from the Orioles and Ravens, I think I may start paying a little more attention

I'm undecided on the Nationals so far... as for the Redskins... well I already have the face paint for them but I was raised to depise the Redskins by my mom so.... something like that will take some time...

Among other days, I was in Camden Yards the day that Cal Ripken tied the record for most consecutive games

Tickets were looooooooooong sold out for the day he broke it before we bought them (except for some really expensive seats on the field that an enlisted air force serviceman like my dad couldn't afford), but it was still sweet being there for the game he tied it (and the few preceeding it, they had a count down going on the wall of the old warehouse)

They just dont make players like Cal anymore. Him and Nolan Ryan are my all time favorite players. Funny, I still have the SC journal of Nolan putting Ventura in a headlock on the mound. Priceless. Seeing Cal hang up the cleats was a sad day for me. Well, that and when Mussina jumped ship and went to the Yankers.
