Got a good laugh from this article. Anyone know how the Auburn fans are reacting to the slow start? Check out the quotes in this article for some irony... the Chiz... LOL

Chizik: We

Probably a self proclaimed pundit, but Gene is moving up in the world to 16. The iowa coach is loosing ground at 23. Rhodes is loosing ground, 86 of 12something.

on the hot seat

Seriously--who cares? He has a NC, the best of "his" hot recruiting classes are frosh, juniors and sophs--just as CPR's are. He's not going anywhere. Obsess over him at your own risk--just as people did before the NC.

He looks like he is doing what he loves. Yep, he loves a man. That man.

It was fun to be in Alabama last week and thank Auburn fans for taking him and giving us Paul Rhoads!

I love " I only care about iowa state and no other team matters" fan. He burned us. We love making fun of him for losing. If you don't want to join us in wishing missery on him then don't post in the thread. If you didn't care you would not yave looked at the thread.

Chiz makes petty fun. It's just fun to watch some people fail. It's especially fun to watch smug people fail. It's not my fault he combines smugness with failure.

Why any ISU fan still cares about what Gene Chizik is doing completely baffles me.

I guess you're not a "once a cyclone always a cyclone" person. Most fans are interested in all former cyclones after their clone days are over regardless of how their clone days ended. Some are just more interesting than others. That's all this is. Its not that baffling.

Oh he's close to being gone. He's definitely on the hot seat. They were a FG away from starting 0-3. They got rid of tubberville for a lot less

Last week in Huntsville, Alabama, I found two kinds of opinions by Auburn fans about Gene Chizik: 1) they know he is in trouble and want him fired or expect him to "take another job for the university," or 2) they are Tavern Tiger fans who don't have a clue. Not much support for him down there among the fans.

If someone gave their honest effort while at ISU I don't blame them for leaving. I cheer for guys like McCarney and Eustachy because I have some good memories while they were coaching and I won't to see them do well.

I do not cheer for the Chiz because I don't believe he gave his all or was really all that committed in ISU. I saw this in his coaching and his staff. I think he would have liked to stay longer but his dream job opened up and they came calling. I don't blame him for leaving because I think we got a great coach out of the deal.

Another example is Sanderson. I hate that he left and took some of his guys with him but I think he tried to win while at ISU. Yeah it feels like he quit and stabbed ISU fans in the back but I don't hate him. I might not cheer for PSU but I still want to see him do well there.

Sanderson didn't just leave. He ruined the wrestling program at ISU for years. Taking all of the wrestlers at Iowa State was wrong. If I cared one bit about wrestling I would be furious. Could you image if Fred left and took Ejim, Niang, Lucious, and Clyburn? It would basically ruin the basketball program. That is what Sanderson did.
