Attendance

I would think just above 50,000. A lot of students must have been sleeping in.

They were very late arriving but it was a late arriving crowd in general. It did fill in very nicely though and was one of the more electric crowds we've had in awhile.

Late crowd, but I'd estimate 50k.

Atmosphere was pretty good but like the team we really struggled to generate something in the fourth quarter

I was happy the students filled in and stayed. A lot of others were leaving early, but at least most lower bowl students stayed until end. Against SJSU none of them were left. Both games, team sang Bells of Iowa State to marching band. That must be their thing.

Crowd wasn't great. Lots of pockets of empty stands.

Ya know when ya listen to OU play whomever, I hear that 4 bars of Boomer Sooner after every positive play. I NEVER hear the ISU fight song. What gives?
We're not the annoying sibling that keeps screaming "Look at me, mom! Look at me!" whenever we do something routine?

You mean like, Thats another Cyclone.......................
Yea, but let's be real. When we first started doing that, first downs were a reason to celebrate because they weren't anything close to automatic.

At least that "Cy-Cl-On-Es" chant never caught on.

Most other schools do the same thing. When we were at tcu all 20000 fans there did a celebration for each first down. And they generally get a lot of them. The Chiefs do it also

It was kind of pathetic IMO. Lots of empty seats in the upper stands

I like that this crowd is considered pathetic for ISU, but at the same time most programs with 9 wins since the end of 2012 would absolutely love to have that kind of crowd.

It's a great crowd for a 1-4 team that hasn't made a bowl since 2012

Exactly! JP should be happy that he gets anything over 30k with how this program has performed over the last 5+ years. 90% of other schools wouldn't get 30k with this kind of program.

JP should be thankful for every single person that walks through the turnstile IMO.
