I know they have drinking fountains - are they not the kind that have bottle fillers?Dang was hoping they would budge a bit on the water bottle rule. Anyway, my go to tip is to fill up water bottles in the bathroom sinks. Water is cold and there is rarely a long line.
Many questions answered in this:
They do have bottle filling line but the lines are insane(doesn't help that people park at them and drink a few bottles before moving on, though i understand the thrist). Plus I could be wrong but it feels like they only have 4 on each side of the stadium.I know they have drinking fountains - are they not the kind that have bottle fillers?
Me too. It’s rough when you have nosebleed seats to keep refilling. Was hoping we could bring in two at least.Dang was hoping they would budge a bit on the water bottle rule. Anyway, my go to tip is to fill up water bottles in the bathroom sinks. Water is cold and there is rarely a long line.
This post followed by a loss to UNI should be one heck of a start to the season. Then Iowa kicks our as*. Then they announce Cy Town isn't happening. Thank goodness for basketball.I think there may be more questions than answers in that info. This is going to be so much fun. Parking is going to be a mess, any one seen an inflow/outflow for the lots? That would be nice. Vet Med and Grass lot traffic will be funneled back towards the Stadium or East on 16th, which us under construction. Boy that sounds like fun. The Duff and 16th intersection will be nothing but a traffic Jam. Stay away from that area.
Apparently we can use a second pass to use for tailgating if I read this correct, plus still no definition of a car in regular lots. They gonna let in Short Busses, Ambulances, Trailers or Short Campers as in years past? I can guarantee none of those fit in 1 parking spot.
Ticket pedestals? So no actual people just a pedestal? So if our ticket does not scan no big deal just walk in. I kid but who sees this going well???
I have been up, looked at lots, folks are going to be disappointed, these moves are not good for the overall Cyclone Football GameDay Experience. JMHO

Luckily they started pouring concrete today, so i'm guessing they should have it ready to go by Saturday..... fingers crossedI think there may be more questions than answers in that info. Frankly, if your vehicle doesn't fit in 1 parking spot then it should either require a second pass or be considered an RV.
I agree. But they have allowed, short busses, ambulances, campers in in the past. Really not going to work now so are they going to stop those folks from bringing in that vehicle?Frankly, if your vehicle doesn't fit in 1 parking spot then it should either require a second pass or be considered an RV.

Yup, I live off Duff south of 30, so I've had to deal with that almost daily. I did notice that once they started pouring the eastbound lane of 16th, along with that middle section, they were able to get it open fairly quickly within a few days. Knowing this crew, they'll probably keep it closed though, or some other moron will take their car for a swim in it again. If you are an Ames resident, we've had to live with this debacle since April, so I really can't see how in 4 days they have it open. They even had someone drive their car through a just poured stretch going from Duff west onto South 16th. I've avoided this area all summer. Feel bad for businesses on the south side of 16th especially Dublin Bay.
so ISU has cut off an hour of tailgating
i can drink at least 2 bloody marys in that hourStill 6 (or more) hours except for the morning games, in which case it's 5 (or 5.5).
They always stress it in the pre-season information. They rarely actually police the "one vehicle, one parking space" rule in the general paved lots. Will be interesting on how this is policed as it is in bold letters stating the one vehicle policy.
