I just don't see how you can join Dish and Directv together. In rural areas those two can frequently be the only two viable options for TV beyond the OTA channels.

I’d be ok with AT&T selling, haven’t seen anything good come of them owning DirecTV.

The same people that with a straight face act like most areas have broadband competition will be the same people that act like there's competition for TV. They'll justify it using the ability to stream via best-possible-case scenarios for rural ISPs.

Yeah, I quit DTV shortly after ATT took over. Them and Verizon sure know how to buy high and sell low.
