They failed to mention that only 25% of the students entering high school actually finish or that the School Board President has been canned because her administration can't account for a missing $300 million. Also the Detroit newspapers have announced that they are going to discontinue home deliveries of newspapers on three or four days a week. You will have to have an online subscription or go pick up a copy at a store for the other days.
On the flip side, housing is cheap.

One measure of how tough times are in the Motor City: Some of the offenders in jail don't want to be released; some who do get out promptly re-offend to head back where there's heat, health care and three meals a day.
