Boy coach Rhoads is getting it done. All of these assistants have great recruiting exp.Which is exactly what we need.If you notice they all have recruited in hotbed states.I am very excited about upcoming season. The best thing is they are all great teachers of the game.Anybody can coach a 4 star. But great coaches can coach no stars and make them 4 stars. We will not get alot of 4 stars right now.But with this staff all of those 2 stars will become 4 stars. This staff can compete with anybody in Big 12.last thing we need LARRY COYER for DC.His exp would put us over the top. HIT THEM COMING OF THE BUS.

Damn is the space bar broken or what? But yes.I agree. With what you are saying. Go Cyclones.:jimlad:

Larry Coyer - are you kidding me? He's resume is replete with 1-and-done jobs; the guy can't stay in one place barely more than one year. There's a stretch in his resume where he had something like 5 jobs in four years.

At a time when ISU's had three HC's in four year, we need some stability and consistency.

You kind of contradict yourself when you say these guys are great recruiters (I agree with) but then say we wont get many 4 star recruits. I agree with your write up its just that you kind of contradict yourself

I think the key was "right now". After all, most of them are already committed.

Next year. :jimlad:

Its not all about getting 4* or 5*. Its finding those diamonds in the rough along with stealing a few of those higher recruits. This is especially fitting for ISU at this point in our program.

It is my hope that PR and crew will be able to spot those diamonds and then have the coaching ability to beat the "more talented" teams. There is hope in cyclone country and many great minds coming to lead us to glory!

Was Chizik being pressured by JP after the season to change coordinators, or did he realize himself that hiring old buddies might not be the best solution?

Never mind, I guess it really doesn't matter. I am thrilled with the coaching staff that PR is assembling. He is basing his hires on the best people for the job.

When Paul Rhoads was announced as new coach I wasn't quite as excited as initially I was 2 years ago when Chizik was hired, but just because I didn't know as much about Rhoads.

After Chizik was hired, my enthusiasm was dampened somewhat by his staff hires. In Rhoads case, I have become more and more enthusiastic after each new coaching staff announcement.

I am really looking forward to seeing what this Cyclone coaching staff accomplishes!

Job well done Jamie Pollard!

Paul Rhoads - You have my full support! Great job so far!
