Arnaud

On the last play he got up limping a little bit, is what Walters said on the radio.

Yeah, he landed awkwardly on the last play of the game. He seemed to be hurting and needed a little help getting off the field. I haven't heard anything since then, however.

What happened was the center made his 3rd straight horrid snap and Arnaud had to jump up to get it. When he came down to the ground, he started pounding the ground in obvious pain. You could tell he was pretty upset. With that said he was able to walk off by himself. Hopefully he just tweaked something

I couldn't tell exactly what he hurt but he definately was limping some after that last play. Maybe tweaked a knee or ankle I'm guessing. Hopefully nothing serious because I'd like to see him get some more snaps from here on.

arnaud was in my class last hour, he is wearing a boot on his left foot

...hoping maybe it was just a cowboy boot? Or maybe it's getting colder in Ames and he opted for a moon boot in case it snows? Hope it's nothing serious that will have long term affects!

He actually was hurt three plays before end of game. Then he walked and handed off gingerly as Scales broke off a big run. Then on last play he was crushed again. He did not pull the trigger and was sacked. He definitely was hurt almost as soon as he was in the game. It did not look good. Bates will probably be number two from what I saw due to the ankle injury.

this will most likely mean that bates will now see limited action until arnuad is able to come back due to the fact you don't want your back up quarterback at risk of injuries. this could hurt the isu offense in more ways than just the back up quaterback being out. any other thoughts?

Im guessing that is a miner sprained ankle. They often put people in boots just take the pressure off the rest of the ankle even if the sprain is not bad. But I could be wrong, it could be serious.

I'm comfortable with either Arnaud or Bates in there. Bates is young, but in Chizik's words, "he's a playmaker, and those guys are hard to come by."
