As I've been reading about plenty of people being stressed out and not sleeping well, I thought I'd check with the CF crowd to see how others are handling their rest.

I just wrapped up an awful sleep schedule with multiple days each week of 2-3 hours of sleep accompanied by a quick afternoon nap. Glad for that to end. I don't think I was going to sustain that much longer.

Currently, I am not. Part of the problem is getting to sleep, which is due to having an overactive thyroid causing more hormones than I need; one of the side effects is a faster/harder beating heart. I am taking medications to tame it and get it back to normal.

Always tired. I have to you a cpap but even that doesn't seem to be making much a difference in my quality of sleep.

As I type this I'm at work and I'm completely exhausted and have a few more hours to go when normally I'm done by this time.

I need 7 hours and I am good. However, I am a light sleeper and the dog gets up to go out in the middle of the night almost every night (and sometimes twice). So I have to plan on 8 or 9 to get the equivalent. And I don't do it as often as I should...

Most nights are good. Sometimes I wake up between 3 and 5 AM and just lie awake wondering why I'm not sleeping. Usually fall asleep again around 6 then wake up at regular time about an hour later.

I get a nap almost every afternoon. I probably only sleep 20-30 minutes but that seems to help a lot. I get drowsy in the afternoon. I remember work and struggling to keep from falling asleep at my station.

Honestly my biggest health goal for the yr. Covid destroyed my subpar sleep habits
And 2nd kid made sure I never re established them. Getting an average of 5- 6 when I could probably use 9. Decent research showing men should get 7-8 and women 9-10. In fact, after a sickness in March I went to bed at 9pm one night, got like 9-10 hours of sleep and woke up feeling refreshed. Like oh you don't always just wake up feeling tired! But to get that sleep means I get 0 personal time to do what I want.....so revenge bedtime procrastination it is. Plus youngest wakes at least 1x yet.
