Anybody know who this is?

James Kohler is a big Junior offensive lineman from Ames High. Also plays basketball, baseball and maybe field events in track. Monster kid. Started as left tackle for Ames as a Sophomore. He's about 6'7". Good pitcher/1st baseman, plays the post on the #1 ranked Ames Basketball team. I don't think he starts though. And, oh by the way, he's a 4.0 student. He was 1st team all conference Offensive Lineman his Junior year.

Major knee problems, I don't think he ever saw the field.

Blew out his knee on special teams his freshman year I beleive. Never got all the way back imo. The guy could high jump 7 feet so I don't doubt the athleticism at all.

Wow! That's who I was watching at the State Track meet in '99 or 2000? That kid had major hops.

Anyone know what jersey number this kid is?

Andy completed his eligibility in 2005 if I recall.

As far as James, I saw him play bball at Rossevelt a month or so ago. At 6-7, we most definetely want his attitude and toughness on our oline. Fill out his frame and there is a very good Big 12 center potentially.

I'm just hoping he has foot quickness and agility. In Iowa, toughness is a dime a dozen.

He's playing high level basketball for one of the top high school teams in the state. From everything I could tell, and not watching specifically, neither would be a problem.
