I don't have the chops to create a feed but it would be nice to see some of the prominent posters from the former site make the jump. I have a small collection of invite codes and maybe others do as well? Not many Cyclones there so far but maybe we can change that!

LOL I have no idea what this even is.

It's essentially a Twitter clone. It's less developed at this point and still requires an invitation to join. Not sure what the OP means by "create a feed;" you just create an account and start following people and tweeting, just like Twitter.

We still doing the "this is the new twitter better join fast" thing? Seriously don't you guys get tired of constantly signing up for new programs/apps only to come right back to twitter and be like "hey look over here come quick"

So if someone used and liked Twitter, and doesn't like the direction it's going and wants to seek out alternatives, what behavior would you suggest they employ?

No hashtag support at the moment on Bsky and search isn't great. Feeds are kind of like mini algorithmic timelines based on a specific topic (E.g. Cyclone Sports), but they require some coding skills to create and maintain which I don't have the time or energy to do myself.

Ah, gotcha. Yes, there's definitely plenty of room for improvement. But there's a small and growing community of Cyclone fans there to populate your feed with, though many aren't all that active yet. Probably waiting to see where most people land post-Twitter.

A bluesky sounds like a person with a lisp asking for a beer. That being said its not a bad idea with Twitter talking about going to a paid only system

I have a couple too. I don't post much but always looking for fellow Cyclones to follow.

bluesky: mtowncyclone
threads: mtown_cyclone

I'll move to a Twitter/X alternative if/when there's one that's close to as active. I learned my lesson a long time ago by going all in on Google+.

I'd argue that Threads is already there if you ignore all the crap on X
Really? I haven't even heard it mentioned more than a couple times since it first rolled out and had just sort of assumed it flamed out. As someone who uses Twitter purely for following college sports, how would threads hold up? Are most of the players on there?

That's one place it's still lacking. Sports.

I’d like an invite, have everything else as this point so might as well!
