Android phone: Syncing Gmail to Outlook question

I have a Droid phone. I have Microsoft Outlook 2010 64 bit version that I want to sync up my gmail calender with my outlook. I found the download and installed it on my computer.

I put a new calendar appointment time into outlook and sync. It shows up in my gmail calender and also my phone. Works great.

I put a new calender appointment time into my phone calender, where the above appts show up and it shows up right away on my gmail calender on my computer just fine. But it won't go to my outlook when I sync.

Anybody do this and know what I need to do for it to all magically appear when I enter the appt on my phone?

I'm using the Google Apps Outlook sync plug-in and I haven't had this problem. When I enter an appointment on my phone it sync to Outlook within a few minutes.

Are you using Google Apps or something else?

I downloaded googlecalendarsync_installer

And as far as I can tell everything works fine unless I put the appt into my phone.
