Did they only recent start restricting parking in those areas? I remember parking in those areas a couple of times around 2010.

Charge $50. Charge $100.

I'm all for it. People should carpool more. Cut down on drunk driving and be more eco-friendly.

Plus there are TONS! of places to park for free if you are will to walk your fat a$$ a couple blocks

It all those people that think getting there a half hour before the game starts and that the world should stop for them and they should have priority over everyone else.

Success is only going to cause more issues like this with lack of parking.

I mean, it makes sense to raise the fine (price) to park in these neighborhoods. I believe the fine (price) was only like $15 in years past. Clear way for the city to make some money, because this surely won't get people to stop parking in these areas.

We park by the power plant and while it's a 20 minute walk, when you leave you can zip up to 13th street and bypass all the traffic.

I take it you can still park in those areas, just not illegally in those areas?

I believe so, yes. There's signs posted already around town when I was still living there this summer. I think the biggest issue is cars parked on both sides of the street, which makes passing through almost impossible. Just pay attention to signs, and you're good.

This exactly. Most of the campus town neighborhood W of the stadium is one side parking but people say, I'll just park here, pay the 20 bucks later since that is about what I would pay for the lot and I can get out of here a lot faster. This is a smart move if they actually want to control the parking. This is not at all a money grab. I am shocked it was still only $20 up to this point.

Are you serious about there being a lack of parking? Iowa State has plenty. There are many schools that don't have **** for parking anywhere near the stadium.
