Played really well this year. Stats might not really show that but Urbandale ran a lot and our quarterback really struggled for the middle part of the year. You also have to account for the added focus on just him and a little less effort to avoid injury.

On a side note Lazard was wearing his dad's letter jacket at the game on Saturday.

I meant he didn't put everything out there for spectacular plays sometimes. He played at full effort but didn't try to make top ten or anything. I was also referring to him not playing as much defense.

He played rather aggressively on defense against Ames, even taking a very hard blind shot on a guy right in front of the Ames bench. In that game, he was more impressive on defense than offense, but mostly due to a really bad Urbandale game-plan that used Lazard almost entirely as a decoy. There is an entire thread about that game.

Don't know if this is what he meant, but there was that one play in the playoff game against Ames where Lazard had "alligator arms" on one pass thrown to him, didn't really extend for it...
