All weather floor mats

We had Weathertech mats in my wife's old SUV and I've got Husky's in my Car. As others have said, the WT mats deformed/pulled away from the sides so stuff would get down in there. Otherwise, they performed well. The Husky's in my car are still perfect. We got the factory all weather floor mats for her new car which is a more pliable rubber/plastic but provide the same type of coverage as the others. I'm really interested to see how they last.

I have always gone with the OEM all-weather mats in the winter and then switch to the carpets for a month or two in the dead of summer. The factory mats have always held up great and the fit is unmatched. I am a little obsessed with OEM parts though, I even buy factory air filters and windshield wipers.

I think this topic shows that all mats, even from the same company, are not created equal and perform different in different vehicles and situations. I think the best bet is to find a forum for your vehicle and see what everyone there recommends.

I concur with you're recommendation. I have found the best advice from car maker/model specific forums. The people on those forums usually are passionate about their vehicles and can give good advice.

I personally have the OEM all-weather floor mats in my truck and they are still in excellent condition 3 years later.

My floor matts for Das Audi are Audi ones. Heavy duty and perfect fit. Figured I'd go with the ones made specifically for my car. I have a Weathertech matt/cover in the trunk. Exceptable fit, a bit on the light duty side of things but it functions since I am only using the trunk for light duty. If it were an SUV or something I'd maybe want something heavier.

I wonder if the Audi ones are similar to the VW ones? I remember having Monster Mats on a VW that were good but they didn't provide any side coverage.

The Weather Techs for my wife's Traverse are fine. We go the fronts, and that weird shaped one for rows 2 & 3. It doesn't stay flat, but it is really oddly shaped.

I also can't figure out how to easily clean the mats. Like in the spring, I hose them off, but they still look dirty. Some scrubbing with dish soap helps, but not perfect. I haven't looked real hard on the internet, but I've heard other folks say the same.

I get Weather Tech mats for all my cars and to clean them I wash them with regular car wash liquid, scrubbing them with bug scrubbers to get all the nasty stuff out. I let them dry out really well and then wipe them down with Mothers VLR (Vinyl/Leather/Rubber) spray using a microfiber cloth. It usually works well.

Mothers also makes a product called Back to Black. It's intended for exterior plastic trim but can be used on anything vinyl/plastic/rubber also, and it works great to bring the black color back to faded floor mats if they're older and needing more care. If you have a different color mat, welp, don't use this.

Have had both and a couple others. Honestly best slush/mud mats I ever got were from mills fleet farm. Heavy flexible rubber with deep grooves. Have went through other prettier husky and weather techs a few times since this one pair from MFF.
This is what I wound up doing. Bought some Smart Fit mats at Mills Fleet Farm for $30. Had a QR code youncoukd.scan and get the cutting instructions for your vehicle. Wish I had checked the fit on the drivers side before I cut as I think I would have left a little more on the top end but otherwise they fit nicely.

I’ve got Husky’s in my truck and sons car came with Weather Techs. Both have been good. As others have already stated the WTs in sons car do have a little curling on a few corners. However I don’t know how old they are as it came in a 2014 car we bought two years ago.
