So watching the home run derby got me thinking of a couple of changes I'd like to see take place:

1. Have one round only of the Home Run Derby, but have one rep for each team in MLB. This way a effort like Hamilton's doesn't go to waste. Also, it gets to #2.

2. Get rid of each team having to have one guy participate in the All-Star game. Since this is supposed to count, let the best players in each league play, rather than the best player(s) on each team play.

Thoughts....

It would take 6 hours instead of 3 hours and I think be a waste of time.

I wouldn't mind a fan vote type of deal of a pool of home-run hitters. If it was a whole mlb pool then people like ichiro suzuki would be in it, but he would suck. So I wouldn't mind them making a pool and having the world vote. Like Pujols said he would want to get in it but he hasn't been invited but you can bet they'd put him on the ballot

Cut the outs down to 5 per player. My issue is still letting each market have their time in the sun, but get the PC junk out of the real game.
