I was just wondering who would make everyones "All-Hoiberg Team", and by that I mean who would be your starting lineup from the players Hoiberg has coached in the last 5 years. Mine would be...
PG/PF - Royce White
SG- Tyrus McGee
SF - Chris Babb
PF - Melvin Ejim
C - Georges Niang

Kane, Niang, Ejim, White, Clyburn. Defense might be an issue, but that 5 could score at will.

Diante Garrett is closer to that five than people might give credit for also.

Kane, Babb, Clyburn, Niang and White. Ejim, Morris, Hogue and McGee with serious minutes off bench.

This is about what mine would look like too. If it wasn't for Kane I would have Garrett as my PG.

Anyone not AT LEAST including Diante Garrett on their top 6 or 7 list didn't pay enough attention. Would love to have seen him on a good team, guy had to carry that first year Hoiberg team at times

Morris at the 1.
Kane at the 2.
Ejim at the 3.
Niang at the 4.
Royce at the 5.

Clyburn, McGee, McKay, Babb, Hogue, and Garrett on the bench.

I'm going with the 5 I think can get me an NC...not necessarily the top 5 overall players. Assuming every player's senior season.

PG-Kane
SG-Babb
SF-Ejim
PF-Niang
C-McKay

Was tough to leave off Royce but Niang does a lot of what he does. Really tough to pick the second guard between Monte, Babb, and McGee. Ejim turning into a solid 3 pointer allowed me to pick Babb for D.

Outside of Niang I think this is the best defensive lineup possible that we've had. McKay is on there mainly to be sure that no team is going to have some matchup issue for us. I really think last year's team was that close that you could basically add a long athlete to our healthy roster and we were a Final Four team.

Garrett
Kane
Ejim
White
Niang

This lineup would struggle defensively but would be unstoppable offensively. To make up for the defensive issues you add

Morris
Long
Babb
Hogue
McKay

Those players mixed with the starting 5 would win almost any game ever and those are players from just 5 years of basketball.

C: Royce/McKay
PF: Niang/Hogue
SF: Ejim/Clyburn/Babb
SG: Kane/Long/McGee
PG: Morris/Garrett

There's my 12 man roster. I dare ANY NCAA TEAM to put together a better 12 man lineup made up of players from the last 5 years. It can't be done. Royce and Niang together would be unstoppable.

Didn't need to go with all scorers, so I threw Hogue on there because the guy is pure energy and hustle. Babb for defense. McKay for shot blocking.

I hope you're kinda joking, but I can't sleep anyway, so here's something to think about.
