Alamodome

What are the chances this is a sellout? 0. So if you have a limited view, just move once the game starts.

Pff- I didn't hear many complaints from the 2018 NCAA Final Four. Or Wrestlemania. Or Paul McCartney. She's not much to look at, but she's a fine, utilitarian venue.

Yeah, ive been to the alamodome 4 other times (though this is my first football game oddly enough). Its a solid venue.

I did a double header in 2005 with some Husker/Cyclone buddies. Caught the Alamo Bowl on 12/28 between Nebraska-Michigan, and then drove down to the ISU-TCU Houston Bowl on 12/31.

My only recollection is that we had cheaper, upper deck tickets and I thought the pitch of the upper deck was a little steep. A full day of tailgating did not help matters.

Other than that, no issues with venue.

There are no "bad" seats there - no obstructed views unless you are trying to look sideways at the seating on the adjacent side.

And there's really a basement - it just happens to be the field and the lowest level below the lower bowl:

When the Alamodome was originally built, some dude in San Antonio had the foresight to trademark the name "Alamodome". The city, and the mayor (Henry Cisneros) were already devoted to that name and I think they had to pay the guy something to get it.

It was otherwise compared to a dead armadillo on its back with its four legs stuck up in the air.

You are living one of my childhood dreams (one of many). As a 7th/8th grader I was obsessed with stadium design. I would get my graph paper and design all sorts of stadiums. Alas this dream never came to fruition because I am not good at advanced math, so I had to settle for being an accountant.
