Alabama Sports writer says Hoiberg on top of Alabama's list if.....

Why even waste your time writing that if you're any other college program.

Well the article states Hoiberg would be at the top of the sportswriter's list, not Alabama's. The Alabama AD probably knows better.

That's what we're talking about. How this guy, being a "sports writer" even came up with this? It's ridiculously funny.

Breaking News!!! Random Cyclone Fanatic poster announced they will go on a date with Kate Upton.

Roy S. Johnson said:
Hoiberg is a former 15-year NBA veteran who happens to be one of the so-called hottest coaches in America. He's in his fourth season at Iowa State -- lordy, those Tide fans just went into a second shock -- where he's stirred a somnambulant program and has the Cyclones poised to reach the NCAAs for the third straight season, this time as potentially a top-10 team.

I don't even know what to say about this. If you don't know who Hoiberg is then you don't follow college basketball.

One name that would be at the top of my list is Fred Hoiberg. Right now, Tide fans are probably apoplectic. Fred who?

Journalism at its best. I guess Fred is in his 4th year as head coach.....what an entitled fan base that thinks they can just buy anything or anyone that they want. Their arrogant is frustrating. Comical.......:biglaugh: Why shoot so low Alabama, why not Gregg Popovich??:twitcy:

This makes me laugh so hard.

First, the fact that the writer thinks Alabama fans won't know who hoiberg is....that tells you how stupid he thinks Alabama basketball fans are.

And if of course hoiberg is at the top or near the top of every college and pro teams wish list. He's a star.

I'm so surprised that somebody in one region of the country doesn't really have a good grasp of CBB nationally. I never ever see that.

:jimlad:

Good chance this guy had never heard of Hoiberg until our game in November. In his defense, you can get by with that type of ignorance in a place like Alabama.

Generally I would say give them a little bit of a pass on not knowing about a coach in a different conference in a different region of the country but...
