AL Wins!

For a bunch of all stars, that was an awful display of situational hitting.

MVP=Former Saint Paul Saint J.D. Drew
Saw J D play in Grand Forks......

St Paul Saints played the Thunder Bay Whiskey Jacks.....in Grand Forks....

J D had not signed yet playing with the Saints...it was supposed to be a Thunder Bay (ontario) home games.....Stadium personel was striking in Ontario....they moved a 3 game series to Grand Forks....

J D was the Star....

I was hoping the NL would pull through, but it didn't happen. I was very glad to see the loss didn't fall on Dan Uggla's shoulder's though. I just felt awful for the guy. The announcers said that he was fulfilling his dad's dream of watching him play in Yankee Stadium. His line for the night: 0-3, 3k with 3 fielding errors. Man, that was tough to watch but I'm glad the loss ultimately wasn't his fault (though you could argue his strikeouts with men on base did).

The AL should've won it long before the 15th. Kinsler was easily safe at second and Navarro was safe at home.

Cook had the best pitching performance, in my opinion. Bases loaded, no outs, and he throws pitches for little ground balls to get out of the jam.

Made Hurdle look like a genius for leaving him in there. I can see why he trusts him, and why he got selected for the game.

His line for the night: 0-3, 3k with 3 fielding errors.

He was actually 0-4 with those 3 Ks and he grounded into a DP off of Rivera with men on first and third and one out.

Three straight plays: DP by Uggla, error by Uggla, error by Uggla. He owes Aaron Cook big time.

Better late than never: MLB dodges another All-Star controversy - Jon Heyman - SI.com

Early Wednesday morning, not too long after the longest All-Star Game ever played mercifully and fortuitously ended with the usual result -- an American League victory, this one by a 4-3 score -- exactly four hours and 50 minutes after it started, All-Star managers Terry Francona and Clint Hurdle revealed that the idea of employing (J.D.) Drew and (David) Wright to pitch was in their head.

Dear lord...
