Al Davis reportedly set to fire Raiders coach Lane Kiffin today

I agree with 22. Apparently some of the coaches aren't talking to each other and Al Davis' decision making is worse than Iowa State's clock management.

Al Davis is one of the most ridiculous owners certainly in the NFL and maybe in pro sports in all. It's always been said that the Raiders is where good players go to die, apparently, that extends to coaches as well.

Al Davis makes me happy... Oakland loses under his watch.

Can't stand that team... They are the Hawkeyes of the NFL IMO.

-keep.

And poor Cheifs fan just has to be shaking his head that they were dominated by these yahoos.

They were talking about this during the game yesterday. It sounded like Kiffin would keep his job if they won...and they did. Weird if Davis fires someone 2 games into the season when you are 1-1.

The announcers also talked about how Kiffin wanted to fire he D-coordinator last year and Davis refused. Davis then hired a staff member without even telling or consulting with Kiffin.

Why anyone would coach there is beyond me.

+1

I think Kiffin is one of the great young coaches in the league that really gets his players. They seem to respond to him. Could have easily showed up in KC and laid a huge egg after getting pounded by Denver - even if KC is bad.

I saw a Raiders game very late last season, they staff and players looked like they were fighting for a playoff spot with how hard they were working and picking one another up on the sidelines. That bodes well for the future.

Well, it did anyways...
