Fun fact: AI in French is represented as IA. (intelligence artificielle). I have to say I prefer it, since to us rural livestock producers, AI also means "artificial insemination", a common procedure for dairy herds and some purebred lines.

Also, a reminder that Iowa used to be a brain state. Not so much anymore.

Sorry, Janny, couldn't resist. Tubi has some good foreign films, even though several of their documentaries remind me of falling asleep during History class when the teacher put on a movie.

The one drawback is that they are owned by Fox (ptooie, ptooie).

I mean, couldn't Roku get to this point pretty quickly, if and when it chooses to? Seems like whoever this is will get wiped out as soon as a major player in the space gets more serious about it.

The Apple TV device does it pretty well for various apps. My wife watched a movie last night and didn’t know what streaming service it was from.

The website “justwatch” is the absolute first thing I check as a movie buff. Often an older movie I want won’t be on HBO or prime but it’ll be somewhere else free or free w short commercials. There’s a service that lets you stream most older critically acclaimed films with any local library card and justwatch lets me know if that’s an option.

If you have a FireStick then Soap2day.mn is the best to stream nearly every new movie and series. It basically eliminates the need to pay for any app. The extension changes from time to time.
