Has anyone here come across any good after Christmas deals either in the stores or online? Post them here!
We went to Walmart this morning and came across some decent deals. A number of toys are on clearance (50%). So we picked up a lot of birthday and Christmas gifts for the next year. If you have a number of kids to buy for, it's worth a look. And of course the Christmas stuff was all marked down... wrapping paper, trees, candles, and decorations. Good for stocking up next year for yourself as well as for teachers, sitters, postal workers, garbage men, cleaning ladies, etc...
I was disappointed in the lights though. I was hoping to pick up some LED's on sale as I have the past two years but they had none.
I'm now looking online for the lights as well as computers, and electronics.

I'd appreciate hearing about some deals, too. Thanks to the storm, I am in the rare situation of being able to do some Christmas shopping after Christmas. Most people were snowed-in yesterday, so the big get-together for my mom's family is tomorrow, and I might pick up an extra item or two depending on what I can find.

Target has a lot of Toys on clearance 30% to 50%, HyVee on Grand Avenue in West Des Moines has several Panasonic 42" 720P Plasma TV's for $498, I really want one but the wife said to wait...

And if you get a soft screen TV and have children - get something to protect it.

I know two people that have had their tv screens broken by flying toys. Both were fire trucks which I thought was a funny coincidence. Then I saw a video of a guy who invented a protection screen thingy and it all came about because of his toddler chucking none other than a fire truck into the screen. I have a seven month old and I can now guarantee he won't own anything resembling a fire truck until I have the money to buy a protective cover.

yeah, it doesn't take much to break those. A friend of mine threw his hat at his big screen while watching a game and cracked the screen. turned into a very expensive game for him.

Anyone have thoughts on places where I can get a cheap Wii? Got some $ for Christmas and always wanted one. Also, what are the best packages to buy?
