Did anyone see Ejim pick the ball up give it back to him and make him give it to the ref in a respectable manner? I think it says alot about his maturity level for a true freshman. I'm sure there are a lot of freshman that wouldn't even think about doing that to/for an upper classman. He is still somewhat of a raw talent but I'm very excited for his career as a cyclone.

I did not see that, very interesting. And you're right, if he has that mental attitude now, he will have a great future. Thanks for sharing.

I'll have to rewatch and look for this. Good for Melvin. Very impressed with him so far. He's going to be a fan favorite before his time is done.

Wow ....do tell me what I appear to be like?? seriously? what are you basing this on? I really hope you know him personally

You appear to be an Iowa State fan and I would say that you are probably an alum that probably graduated within the last couple of years. Also, I think your name might be Richard but I am not sure why.

Was I even close?

JVB is definitely in a rut. Keep in mind, he's also being asked to do things on the court he's not all that comfortable doing.

I didn't care with how JVB acted last night when he threw the ball, and I could live without Scotty doing any sort of taunting. I'm sure Fred will get that straightened out before it turns into a regular problem.

JVB needs a mean streak. He plays like one of the softest 6-11 guys in college basketball. I'm sorry JVB, I know you can hit the 3 but playing some defense and giving us an inside presence once in awhile would really help this team and at the moment you're about the only guy on the team with the size and talent to fill that role.

Love Ejim for doing this. A sign of good team chemistry. Player A gets loose and Player B brings him back in.

I don't see what the big deal was with this. I felt like Scotty made those gestures while passing the ISU bench, not the Iowa bench. I think he was excited and feeling it.

If he would have confronted Fran or an Iowa player and done some type of nonsense gesture, I would completely agree with you. I just think the guy was stoked that he played a major role in beating our instate rival at their house and was showing a little swagger to his teammates.

No doubt luckily we get 5 more games before conference play.. Only 1 of which i believe will be a challenge. Hopefully this time helps the team mesh more, and they pick up the loose ends that have been exposed.

Mel is also very well spoken in post game interviews, and shows maturity beyond a freshman. He gets his points and stats quietly, but he almost always gets them and should have a great career here.

By the time this kid is done here, Iowa State will have been on many SportCenter Highlight reels, and we will be talking about many records he set.
