NBA: After 4 months, Suns fire their coach

It's easier to change the coaches than it is the players. If a coach isn't working, might as well get rid of him.

Management kept changing players on him and they have a winning record.

sounds like Kerr is looking for someone to take his fall.

Shaq needs more guidance....Stoudamaire wants to be traded......things are looking sloppy in Land of the Sun...

This sucks because it isn't Porter's fault. It was just a terrible terrible hire from the start. It was like Michigan hiring Rich Rod. It was a complelty different system and had no chance to work with this team. If they still think they can win this season, they HAD to fire him.

Steve Kerr is the one that deserves the axe...letting young talent go and bringing in old past their prime players. It's difficult being a Suns fan right now. If they trade Amare, they will be in the cellar for the next 5 years at least. (Only chance would be to sign one of the prized free agents in 2010.)

The Suns went from a team that was pretty good and definately fun to watch (think Coach Orr) to, well something that isn't pretty. Getting rid of Bell and Diaw for Richardson may not pan out so well either. Believe Richardson was to appear today on a December DUI charge but he got picked up going 90 or so in a 35 and didn't even have his little kid belted in--huh? Now they have a coach in the mold of D'Antoni and don't have the players. Hard to say where Kerr will take them. On Amare, he wants to stay and will likely do so.

Suns score 140 on back to back games maybe it was the coach. To bad They may not make the playoffs since Amare is done with eye surgery.

I used to think Steve Kerr was a smart guy but his past few decisions have left me scratching my head.
