Advice needed: budget friendly laptop for basic needs

with today being cyber Monday, my wife wants us to look for a replacement laptop. Our current one is about 10 years old and is showing it's age.

Primary uses would be running Office applications such as excel for budgeting, Word and PowerPoint for various reasons and storing family photos.

I haven't kept up on brands and specs to look out for.

Budget, maybe $400? Not sure what that gets you nowadays.

I bought a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 for around $400 a couple years ago for work. It's pretty basic with graphics and other things but I've been happy with it.
