Although i was unable to watch the game,James kept me updated and remember sometimes kids start looking ahead. I was able to see Iowa and honestly they did not look that great, and UConn played Fordham where my older son Q/B so they beat a really weak team.So I think things are looking good for the cyclones on their march to a bowl game.

For my friends who asked to keep them updated on James, they lost in double overtime. James was 38-55 for 300 yds and ran for 62 yds.He had three throwing T/Ds and one running to send it into double overtime. he got beat up real bad and probably wishes he was at ISU,he ran for his life all night and probably should have had ten more completions but there were so many dropped balls. The only negative was four int, just like someone said about Steele,James should only have one int since the ball was right in the receivers hands, but they bobbled it right into the defenders hands.I was surprised by the large size of some of the players and the speed at this level.Anyway Cyclones enjoy the win, have a good holiday

Dang 38-55 - Is his arm tired?

So far it doesn't look like staying at ISU is the answer for either 1) getting beat up real bad 2) running for your life or 3) having people drop balls.

Thanks or the update.

You are welcome, anytime. Boy i sure wish he was at ISU i really missed the fans.No he just hates to lose.He was so accurate on the run and had alot of zip on the ball. They play Wayne State this week in the Detroit area and they have an enrollment of 33,000,isn't it time to move up,they are ranked in the country this year. Hope your holiday is going good.

Yeah, I think he should have stayed. He would have been playing some for sure. Tiller probably was going to lose on academics all along from what we surmise. He should have waited and watched out what happened this year.

Why do some posters believe this?

We didn't even seen JB last night, and Capello wouldn't have challenged for a starting spot. He was behind Jantz in the spring, do you honestly think it would have changed?

Capello has the personality to run a team when its own line is not blocking. So does Steele. Not sure Barnett and Tiller would have done as well. This is about the best backup. It is not always the best runner or thrower, it might be the one who makes good decisions in a mess. Last night our oline was a mess. UNI was all over the backfield.

Some posters on this board are dumb as hell. It was Jantz's first game, expect him to be better this week.

I am talking about the backup role. I am not sure we are ready in that position. The backup will get a chance to play in next couple games in order to get someone ready for conference.

I think Barnett will be just fine as a backup, but yes as a backup we could have used Capello as well I agree.

If by backup you mean 3rd string I can agree with you.
