NIL gets a lot of attention. But to make that money, unless a kid is a 5 star coming out of HS, a guy's gotta play. Schools like ISU can offer a chance to earn immediate playing time.
The downside is we will have to deal with situations like Tyrese Hunter, who play immediately and then jump for money and/or exposure.
Agreed. For whatever reason the national media ***** on the big 12 any chance it gets. ISU still puts together great recruitment classes for football and basketball despite our budget being a fraction of those in the cash cow power 2s. The Big 12 may not last but at least ISU is still exceeding expectations on the national landscape despite all odds being against it.
