I was watching on a computer screen with sound off. It looked to me on both camera angles that the kick was good. Did anybody else see it that way?

Hard to imagine an official could mess up a field goal call but it looked good to me.

It was not good. Unless something has changed the rule is (paraphrased):

If the upright were extended vertically and the ball would have hit the upright (at all), then the kick is no good. Basically you do not get the benefit of the doubt if you kick it above the vertical part of the upright.

This kick is exactly the same scenario as the kick against Alabama in the Independence bowl

If any part of the ball goes over the post, it is no good by rule. It doesn’t matter if just the nose of the ball goes over the post while the rest of the ball is inside the post.

We don’t have a view underneath the post, but the official is directly underneath who likely saw part of the ball go over the post

Edit: the play is also not reviewable if the officials ruled the ball went over the post

4th and 1 never should of kicked it.
Would have been a tie game headed to overtime.
Yes it was good but that shouldn't have decided the game. We should have easily won without that miss from the refs.
Winning isn't easy. Would have tied the game and sent it to overtime.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who thought it was good.

Might have been good, but high enough it ended up a judgment call by the refs. It was very close, but may have been just inside from the replay I saw. We desperately need a running game or deep threat
