I went on CR free stuff and found the recruiting classes since
2002.

2002 6-4 Stars and 8-3 Stars
2003 0-4 Star and 12-3 Stars
2004 1-4 Star and 10-3 Stars
2005 2-4 Stars and 9-3 Stars
2006 0-4 Stars and 15-3 Stars
2007 1-4 Star and 9-3 Stars
2008 2-4 Stars and 6-3 Stars

I can't wait untill the current Staff brings in a 2002 type class.
I put Williams? in the 2008 class. Also, these are signing day
lisits, I'm sure some of these guys never made it to class or
the field. Hopefully more and more of each class will make it
to the field 3-4 years after signing.

GO CYCLONES

It's funny to look at some of our 4 star signees in the last few years that have either flopped or we've never heard of. Stevie Hicks and Austin Flynn were solid as 4 stars but outside of that there were quite a few busts.

I like how they listed Tuba as 285 lbs back in 2006, yet he was 330 when he stepped on campus and straight into the starting lineup 2 weeks later.

the 2002 class was the worst class in ISU history.

This.

The day ISU is knocking down 4 and 5 star guys is the day our program starts going into the crapper.

Just look at Iowa a few years back, and us in 2002. We simply will never get the "top tier" 4 and 5 star guys to come here in more than a onesie-twosie manner. If we do, it's likely going to be guys who are athletically gifted, but fail in other ways.

We are a program who needs a couple of really good guys, and needs a lot of average guys that can be coached into really good guys. We will never be USC, with outstanding talent all over the field, but we might turn into a very good TEAM, and that's certainly not reflected in stars.

ISU will be successful based on coaching and development, not recruiting and stars.

That's like telling a kid he can never make it to the nfl or nba. Sure, it's a long shot but it's possible. Don't limit our coaches and the ability they have to bring in players.

Hopefully next year we can get a couple of 4 stars, such as Nick Kasa.

Part of the problem we have had with previous 4 star recruits is

1. they werent that highly sought after

2. for the most part they didnt have alot of speed

3. Except for stevie and austin flynn alot of them were juco's

Are you saying the other four star recruits of 2002 weren't big contributers to cyclone football. What about the likes of Max Steward, Curtis James, Fredrico Samuel, and Collin Menard? Wait, who are they?
