3rd recruiting weekend vs Ok State & Homecoming

The fact that you just named 11 guys not including Colbray proves my point. Add in Brit Wilson and Corey Hazel who are both solid guys and could push for R12 to AA spots. I don't think Colbray is on the same level as Darmstadt and he has proven he can't hang with Rasheed. Those 2 plus Zahid will be the top of the weight. That is 3 very good wrestlers. I think Rasheed will push Zahid if healthy.
There is a lot of depth with good wrestlers at 184 and Colbray is inconsistent. I hope we see him on the podium this year but it won't be easy.
I don't disagree that it will be tough, but I think it is valid to say that Colbray SHOULD be right there to AA. There is depth at the weight, but not necessarily a wealth of elite guys. I personally think Colbray can beat anyone at the weight with exception of Zahid, maybe Rasheed (if healthy) and Darmstadt (if the cut isn't an issue). Deep weight no doubt, but 4th - 12th are all on par IMO and 2nd/3rd have question marks going into the year.

Also, Shakur isn't coming close to Zahid in any world. Forget anyone at 184 giving Zahid a challenge.

Zahid was pinned in a cradle by Daniel Lewis last year. Cradles are Rasheed’s specialty. I don’t give Rasheed much of a chance, but do give him a puncher’s chance.

I agree with both of you. I think talent wise, Colbray is the 4th best. However, he needs to put it together. Last year he had a great path to the finals (Ness and then Foster), but didn’t get it done.

I expect him to AA this year, but for right now I’d pick him to place closer to 8th than 2nd.

How in the heck is Darmstadt making 197? The guy looked like a concentration camp victim at 197 two years ago. I don't see it.

We will revisit this in March and see.
