35 Guys In Sweats

Question for all - I counted 35 players wearing sweats at the stadium yesterday - is this typical for a bowl game (redshirts, injuries, etc)? It just seemed like a LOT of guys out. Serious responses only.

I noticed that as well. Do all the walk-ons get to travel to the game?

I’m 94.2% sure I saw Darrell Simmons in pads as well. I thought he hit the portal???

You must not have watched any home games the last few years.

There are ~130 guys on the roster, and typically only 85-90 dress for the game.

That would be my guess as well. For home games, the walk ons get to be on the sideline in sweats. For road games, you won't have them travel. But not sure about PWO, maybe they get to travel?

Looks like they took all the walk ons to the bowl game as a reward. Nice.

Yeah, all the walk-ons got to travel. Common for bowl games.
